I was excited to have the opportunity to test out new Shady Rays Shades. I had heard such great things about them.
I was able to select a pair of their Signature Series shades. It was a tough decision as I loved the look of all of the choices. I ended up selecting the Slate Polarized pair.
Shady Rays has increased frame durability, and these shades featured anti-reflective lens coating, and hydrophobic lens coating to repel liquid. That last part is key. I’ve definitely noticed this feature during my runs. I sweat a ton and have a tendency to make my sunglasses blury due to the sweat that hits the lenses. I haven’t been having that issue with these new Shady Rays. The shades have been very comfortable when I’ve had them on running. They have fit great with my headphones. I’ve tried them with both hats and headbands and they have fit great with both.
I haven’t had any issues with movement either. They have stayed right in place.
That is always a concern while running. With keeping your head on a swivel while seeing around to make sure you’re safe, the last thing you need is your shades to move or fall off your face.
These shades knock out the glare. They offer 100% UV protection and are shatter-resistant. They are also salt water proof, hydrophobic, and anti-reflective. They are very easy to clean.
If you ever lose or break your Shady Rays, no worries. They will replace them for free. All you have to do is pay the shipping and handling. They also come with a lifetime craftsman warranty.
